Fiestametalhead22
Hello guys, Got my fiesta metal this time last year, haven't really had the time to do anything with her. So i was wondering what mods i can do which won't affect my ford warranty? I would like to keep with the black and white theme. Couple of things i was thinking; • paint the drums black or white • de-tango lights (any advice) Thanks in advance . jeebowhite
Use chrome coloured indicators - they blink orange but hide well as grey. You can replace the covers if there are some but would be a pain in the backside to do it manually so you would be looking for a new set of lights I presume. tomo91
Could paint the calipers white, and I think the drums would look better in black as white would stand out and there only drums but that's just a personal preference obviously lol and I've just purchased some silvatecs as well to get rid of the fried egg look! Could always go for led side lights too Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app
Willy
Got to get some side stripes http://www.dmb.uk.com/prod/286/fiesta-mk7-s1600-side-stripes#colours
Fiestametalhead22
I like the ideas... Have you got any links to where i can get the indicators and the led side lights? I presume there is a law on the side lights brightness etc etc. I agree about the drums, i think black is the better option. Would look a lot cleaner. Sorry sounds stupid but what are silvatecs lol? Thanks guys :) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app
jeebowhite
If they are 501 wedges, something like these would do nicely. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-ERROR-FREE-CANBUS-8-SMD-LED-XENON-HID-WHITE-W5W-T10-501-SIDE-LIGHT-BULBS-/290617035424?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43aa200aa0 The indicators, something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Chrome-Silver-BAU15S-581-21W-Amber-Indicator-bulbs-o-/350478801883?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item519a2a1bdb
Fiestametalhead22
Orded the side lights yesterday, i reckon they will look quite smart. Any more ideas? Don't want to change the black and white theme tbh. Was thinking... Change the interior light from the single light to a map reading lights. Ambient lighting in the footwell, got blue there at the moment but think they look a little out if place. Mattyboy_13
I'm in a similar boat to you, don't really want to mod too much but enough to stand out a little. Take a look at my project thread. Only just started it but there are a few ideas on there Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
Fiestametalhead22
Thanks mate, just looked at your thread and like the changes your made. Might have to take a few ideas . I clayed the car the other day for the first time, must day the results are impressive. Next hot spell we get I've got to do that again and polish it and wax it. Going off subject a bit here but i have noticed a noise when cold lately, when reversing up my drive i hear the noise in the video. Once the car is warm i don't get it. Just wondering what this could be? One of the comments on the video are that its a thrust bearing but i wouldn't have a clue? Any help would be appreciated . http://youtu.be/IEjhnqztNn0 Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app
