Sounds good. I know Adrian Flux is more of a specialised insurer but do they offer like courtesy car and key cover etc?

I ended going up with Admiral on their 10 month bonus accelerator policy fully comp. Also got hire car, personal injury and key cover for the total cost of £747 (2 NCDs and my dad as a second driver).

I may be starting an apprenticeship soon literally just after my 10th of June due date for renewal so that will effect the cost which I'm hoping it will lower as currently I'm unemployed due to attending a 7 week course.

P'S BeccaaCat just noticed you have a samsung galaxy s5 as well lol

To be fair I used the Admiral bonus accelerator to boost my no claims after my crash 5yeae ago, not much cheaper than a 12 month policy but worth the 2 months free lol

I never ever take out a renew policy, I change all my insurance companies ever single year, for the ten minutes of searching a save hundreds per year.

I'm 47 Focus Mk3 TitX fully comp, £195 a year i'm paying 15 yrs NCB and no points. I know for a fact when I comes to renew they will send a quote for over £250, but I never ever go back with same policy.

I always use Meerkat :) and I think im only one away from full family.

This applies to all my insurance quotes for home and car.

I think insurance renewals would come down massively if everyone did this.

I've been with Chris Knott for years.  10+ years NCB, no points, no mods (yet) and I've paid on average £440 a year fully comp with the Wife and Dad on as named drivers (I'm 30 BTW).  Other firms have offered cheaper premiums but I prefer to deal with CK as it feels to me, a more personal service than some of the bigger firms.

you think your quotes are bad Edward... mine are worse.

my mum, who is 56, pays £400 for a 1.6 petrol, 55 reg (2006 registered) focus saloon with my dad as a named driver and she had well over 7 years NCB. when we were looking to replace out MK1 focus we got a quote for a 2.0 petrol honda civic and it was £800, DOUBLE what we were paying for out focus with the same size engine

i drive a 1.1 petrol,  55 reg (2005 registered) smart forfour with my mum as a named driver. i have (now) 4 years NCB with 1 claim to my name and i payed £660 for the year.. whilst looking for 'cheaper quotes' the cheapest i found was just under £1000 and they went all the way up to £9000!!!! im only 26 and in STILL getting quotes close to and over £1000  .

im sure that insurance companies think of a number then double it!

New business is what insurance companies like, brings in the ££. Renewals they hope they will catch you off guard and will let the auto renewal period lapse then your stuck for another year.

Always search around. My renewal with Esure and mods came in at nearly £700. I got a new quote from brentacre all mods declared, in fact they dont care what you do as long as it doesn't affect the BHP etc, £550 and that's in an insurance hotspot.

To rub salt in the wounds even more, my mum, is 62, 0 NCB and lives just down the road in Croydon, was quoted £150 for a 2.0 BMW 5 serie she just bought herself. Makes my blood boil lolol, bless her

I may try stay with admiral come.the next renewal in 10 months.

I know with them that I can ring them and get them to give me a better quote.

When the renewal came up for my old corsa they where only like 50 more than the cheapest quote I could get with almost the same extras I had.

Right now I'm unemployed but I should hopefully touch wood be offered an apprenticeship. So I believe that will bring my new policy down. (£747 with extras like hire car, key fob and injury with unemployed stated and my dad on there as secondary driver).

When I did quotes saying I was employed was like about £200-300 cheaper than quoting unemployed.
