allbluedave
Hey guys ☺ has anyone had any experience of removing the glass out of the rear doors? Reason I ask is I'm wanting to remove the glass to tint it but thought it would be easier to do it with the glass taken out the doors. Cheers guys. ☺
jeebowhite
Hi David, its a pain in the backside to do, you need to remove the door cards, secure the glass, drop the window down and work to detach the glass from the regulator. You would be better off just getting it tinted on the door, its much easier and wont save you time or money, it just costs you more hassle! martyntdci
they only just cut the tint just below the window line anyway... my mate used to do it... he used to take all the door card n trim off and do the window in situ cut the film slightly too big, soak with water mist out of a bottle, attach to window center onward and squeegee outways with hair dryer on...... if you want all 3 doing i recon you wont get much cange out of 150 if any
allbluedave
Cheers guys. I had me windows tinted on my old mk6 escort gti which cost me 150 quid but they did a fantastic job.☺ When I've done tints in the past I've left the door cards n stuff on but they didn't turn out that great but served the purpose of keeping the sun out the kids eyes. The worst window to do I found was the rear hatch.
