As I passed my theory exam when dinosaurs were still around, I've got no idea on what is considered 'proper' book these days. What kind of book would you recommend? alexp999 Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 My Dad used to use the driving test success kits from Focus when he was a driving instructor, but I don't think DSA had their own at the time. alexp999 Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 The whole theory test is done at a computer, having a paper copy of the highway code probably wouldn't hurt, but I would personally just stick with the disc based versions. SeanW Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 The good thing about the Theory test is that a great deal of it just makes sense...some of the potential answers they offer are so obviously wrong - provided you read the question and have a general idea of the Highway Code. alexp999 Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 I found it harder learning when the software expects you to click, than spotting actual hazards, lol. You also have to be careful that you don't click too much and get penalised, that's why I think its important to practice the hazard perception on a computer. I had something not too dissimilar when I took my test, and it was brilliant, it seemed to respond better to my hazard perception than the actual test (by which I mean, it actually recognised a hazard seconds before it really came into frame, whereas on the actual perception test, if you caught it that little too early, you werent graded on it!
