Hi all.

I have just bought a 2008 Focus 1.8 Zetec.

I am really happy with it.

Here's a photo of it at the dealership

And there are some now I have machine polished it and waxed with dodo juice.

Thanks b4zz I don't think ill be doing much to it might just tint rear windows and possibly Change wheels if I see some cheap nice ones. Bought the car ready for when we have a family so will only be able to afford to clean it lol.

Welcome to the forum,

Lovely focus you have there mate,

I have some guides to help you get the car ready for family aswell as subtle modification.

A front lower grill from a Titanium spec model would compliment the black body and provide contrast to the front centre:

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/21598-how-to-fit-new-front-lower-grill-on-mk25-focus/?p=123449&fromsearch=1

Some DRL fog light surrounds are more efficient than driving with your parking lights on and ensure your always seen, some insurance company's give you a reduction after fitting aswell.

See Guide:

Some front and rear footwell lighting is ideal for those dark evenings when kids or adults drop a bottle lid or keys,

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/34704-guide-fitting-footwell-lighting-to-your-ford/?fromsearch=1

This can be continued to fitting an additional boot light with brighter bulbs,

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/27165-guide-to-fitting-additional-boot-light-in-ford-focus-mk2-and-mk25/?pid=146083#entry146083

A 12v socket in the boot compartment is ideal for rear seat DVD player or a refrigerator, bottle warmer in the boot or even a tyre compressor,

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/29774-guide-additional-12v-power-socket-in-boot-focus-mk25/

Dual reverse lighting is a great modification to help ensure you dont reverse over the kids bike after a long day at work,

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/29347-guide-fitting-second-reverse-light-ford-focus-mk25/#entry158997

There's also a Guide on fitting reverse sensors here:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/30092-guide-to-fitting-rear-parking-sensors-focus-mk25/

The ultimate rear seat protection is one of these waterproof covers, I've found it great for protecting agents sour milk on the seats.

See Guide:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/25532-the-ultamate-rear-seat-cover/?pid=136578#entry136578

The rear interior roof light in the focus is a single bulb unit as standard however a triple unit with map lights is a straight swap providing additional more focused down lights for the rear seat passengers without disturbing the darkness in the front seats:

Only other advise i can give is:

the focus doesn't have an isofix bracket as standard, a kit is available from ford see here:

http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_focus_isofix_child_seat_mounting_kit__f_1357238_c_148.htm

The isofix bracket is what most baby seats click in to instead of seatbelts more secure and makes life much easier.

And finally

I recommend 35% tint on the rear windows helps reduce temps inside the car aswell as protecting the family from the old UV ray.
