k13r4n
I believe the colour is called magnetic metallic
alexp999
Colour is called Stealth and it is unique to the Focus ST, at least for Europe. It looks a bit darker and flatter than the magnetic colour they get in the states. jimrex
Really liking the look of it, especially that grey! What do you guys think of the introduction of a diesel? I know it's a controversial choice by Ford, but for someone like me with a daily 75 mile round trip commute, it makes ST ownership possible ;) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
k13r4n
It's mainly to rival the gtd I also think it's a good idea
alexp999
I think it is a good idea, many people want their cars to do everything nowadays, been fine to drive but also economical for the daily commute. That and they need to bring something out to rival the golf gtd.
jimrex
And I work for a fleet management company that has heavy links to both Ford and VW, so I know VW shift quite a few GTD's! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled on prices for the diesel ST as that's a tempting proposition! Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

mixmasterlooney
It's long over due for ford to bring out a sporty diesel for the focus. I would trade in my car for one no doubt. Vw has been milking the gtd, truly surprised car makers are so slow on releasing sporty diesels. The body styling looks better as well, better headlights and front end saying that though I feel like fords holding off a bit, will be really interesting to see what comes out later on, special or limited editions Sent from my GT-N7105 using Ford OC mobile app

alexp999
I think those were my photos from Goodwood. Here's a few more: Nice thanks. Just out of interest, as IMO it looks different in the pics, would you say the grey "Stealth" ST is indeed a different colour to the Magnetic metallic on the Mustang? I am really hoping that Magnetic will be an option on the 2015 Focus, but they have said this "Stealth" colour is unique to the ST, so I hope they are different... jamesm182
You're testing me now! :P I can't be 100% sure but I'm fairly certain they were different. They were on different floors of the Ford stand so I couldn't see them side by side. The Focus definitely had more of a 'flatter' look about it.

That is how it looks in the pics, the Ford.de brochure (I say brochure it is more of a teaser) shows a Metallic Grey option for the 2015 Focus, I really hope we get it here on the standard car. I found this video on youtube with some footage of the ST going up the hillclimb at Goodwood:
Hassen
I have been waiting for a long while for Ford to release a diesel ST. My plan is to keep my current 1.6 TDCI Focus for another 3-4 years and then have save up enough money to get a used diesel ST! If it anything as fun to drive as the current ST, with good pricing, I reckon it could bring the fight to the Golf GTD. In Ireland, the GTD are quite common but command an exorbitant amount of money used. Plus, I prefer the styling on the Ford. Can't wait for it to be released with specs :)
mixmasterlooney
Price is the tricky part, I hope ford doesn't want stupid money for it, since only Vw and ford have sporty diesels Sent from my GT-N7105 using Ford OC mobile app
D13 HPD 95
does any one know any more on the price ? as im looking to get a gtd for a company car and if ford release this in time i might have to change depending on the price tag
jimrex
A basic GTD starts at £25,765, if you consider that a basic GTI is £26,330 and ST-1 £22,295, I would have thought the most basic diesel ST would be positioned around the £22k mark... Maybe that's just wishful thinking though! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Ford OC mobile app
Hassen
How come the GTI is cheaper than the GTD? Thought that diesel cars was more expensive in most cases than their petrol equivalent? If the Diesel ST does come round the £22k mark, that will seriously undercut the VW. Interesting times :)
alexp999
The Zetec S 2.0 TDCi is 23k, so the ST TDCi will be at least 24k, still undercutting the GTD though.

And seat is a top rip off too they got the record for fastest front wheel drive hatch at nurbergring (briefly) then had the cheek to sell that version of the copra without all the bits that made it that fast, upgraded brakes wasn't even an option in the UK yet the track car had it Sent from my GT-N7105 using Ford OC mobile app
