Brilliant, thanks. Glad it's not just me:) I've been told to trace them with a multi metre, was just hoping that I can save some time if someone has maybe already done it. Fingers crossed.

Hi guys,

I have the Haynes manual for the focus, ill post the loom colour reference at some point today before 22:00 im in work at present but ill post on this thread,

Also no need to run a 12v feed from battery because the focus already has a 12v positive in the boot see here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/29774-guide-additional-12v-power-socket-in-boot-focus-mk25/

Firstly guys if you have a diesel model i highly recommend you blank your EGR Valve, if you have a 1.6TDCi see guide here:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/42915-guide-fitting-egr-blanking-plate-16tdci-engine/

Thanks to Clive linking the Haynes PDF there saves me going through a list, see page 12.28 of Haynes for "Typical Trailer Socket" diagram

Id like to link a few guides of mine to aid the end results,

Here's a link to the 12V socket guide which shows the factory fitted 12v supply in the drivers side of the boot,

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/29774-guide-additional-12v-power-socket-in-boot-focus-mk25/

Next i would like to link my guide to fitting dual reverse, in this guide you will see how the boot floor grommets can be removed and opened to allow additional cables be put through the factory hole:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/29347-guide-fitting-second-reverse-light-ford-focus-mk2-mk25/#entry158997

And finally this link to installing an additional boot light shows how to remove panels in order to access wiring looms from either tail lights.

If your in need of some automotive electrical cable or connectors i highly recommend logging on to AutoStar a uk based supplier Dave is top man, unbeatable quality aswell as combined postage on group purchases,

And if like me: you ndvdr know "what AMP of cable should i be using for...."

Dave is happy to advise if you tell him your plans,

Here's a link: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/autostarshop/

Although the manual displays the Mk2 on the cover, it refers to the Mk2.5 aswell on the inside:

Id say item number 44 there is the loom socket in the boot because its feeding to the various signal feeds already,

So all you need to do is pair up your trailer loom pins with the cables on your plug there.

Wire the socket to correspond with the plug on the trailor.

Dont plug in the loom until you have completed socket first because it will blow fuses if shorted.

Thats what i was thinking too, its just for example. LH rear indicator says grey and white cable but i dont have a grey and white cable on my loom socket :s

if the colours matched up to the haynes diagram it would be plain sailing :)

Thanks for the other links too Lenny very useful!

All i can think is that maybe i need the 05 11 focus manual as this suggests the wiring is different to the 09 focus.

You have

Blue/red - right indicator

Orange - right tail

You then have fog light through the grommet on drivers side
