laumk7 Posted July 2, 2014 Share Posted July 2, 2014 I had to make a (3rd) claim this morning following being involved in a hit and run (she hit me then drove off), I managed to get a partiall on her reg plate which has now gone through to local officers whatever that means? She's taken some of my paint off so I had to proceed with a claim regardless, but I did give insurers incident number Of my witnesses one is refusing saying I deserved it ?!?! laumk7 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Share Posted July 2, 2014 Update: police have found her and spoken to her apparently she's giving the didn't know she'd done it story Long story short she wants to settle outside of insurance, thing is though I've already started a claim with my insurers, if I give her details it goes as a non fault claim for me, but if I decide to settle outside of insurance I'm still going to have that ring around my collar aren't i ? Some insurers now increase your premium per incident regardless of blame or protected bonus. All you can really do is decide to go through your insurers and claim it back or just get the money directly from her. Whatever happens keep your insurers informed. Police traced her and did b****r all about it after she claimed she didn't know she had hit him, this is his car after Evidently her bumper was covered in red paint, her car was blue, and hanging off For your accident I wouldn't hold your breath that the police will act I'm afraid.
