Ecu Unlocking?

Hey Guys!

A friend of mine started talking about Unlocking the ECU in your car to get certain things "unlocked" that the car couldn't do before, example: Auto Locking Doors, Reverse Chim when putting your car in reserve.

Is this possible on a 2008 Ford Focus?

If any of you have done this? or know how, or know other options you can do, please let me know?

Thanks

Ed

There is a lot of functionality that is present to be unlocked, but it also comes down to the spec of the car as it is, what is already there and what isnt. For example, you can get eco mode, tyre monitoring etc all by using new firmware on the MK2.5 Insutrment cluster, but you cant get this on the MK2, things like get me home lights, timing of lights, live MPG etc are more universal to all cars. auto door locking and the likes will depend on the GEM board you have.

Download the software and your "AsBuilt" from the noted websites and you can use it in offline mode to see what is already there, what isnt and you can see all the options of what you can possibly do.
