hi all could any one tell me what sort of paint to use on my rear drum brakes to tidy them up as they look a bit rusty and untidy thanks.

I've just done mine. I bought black high-temperature engine lacquer from Halfrauds. It's supposed to withstand temperatures up to 300C. I applied two coats by brush and it looks very good.

What color did you do them? Have you got any pics?

I used Hammerite smooth black on mine to get a nice gloss black finish, haven't had any issues with it so far

It's a gloss finish, just get a stiff wire brush and give them a good clean with that to get all the break dust off, then I had some calliper cleaner left from when I done my front callipers and used that then, just painted straight and gave them a couple of coats! Easy peasy!

i think painting them black doesn't draw attention, its when they're red, yellow, gold when they draw attention lol

I've done mine in yellow and don't think they look too bad. Got gloss black wheels and yellow callipers/drums. I'll get a pic later.
