But it was completely in bits I really hope this was the problem for my car getting so hot, I'm worried bits of plastic will end up in the coolant?? And my stereo still doesn't work which I thought would again as it cools down!! What should I do?

It was working but with the heat it would cut out then now and then try and come back on with no luck so I'm not sure what's happened to it :( yes I'm worried because the plastic was in bit's in the tube really hope we managed to get it all out before replacing with the new part!
