Hi everyone.Im a new member.

I recently bought a 54 reg Fiesta.1.4 TDCI.It looks a nice,tidy car.2 owners.Runs great.Ive recently given it a service,using ford parts.Just had the belts and water pump done.

The mechanic found a leak on one injecter.Hopefully thats sorted.

After 2 weeks ive noticed that my gleaming new expansion water coolant bottle has started go black, around the roof of the bottle.

Could this be the first signs of a head gasket failure !

Please help

Thanks Arty

hi Arty,

Yes this would indicate early stages of a leaking head gasket,

You could try using some sort of gasket weld as advertised on Motors TV it may help prolong the issue but probably better to get the headgasket changed
