Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help me... Today I had my drivers window down... Went to put it up and it made a POP sound n stopped bout 2 inches under fully closed

When I press up or down I can hear the motor moving but the window doesn't move??

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks

The window might of came off the runner.

You would need to take the door card off to have a look.

Lol. It basically pops off all round the edge of the door.

There is normally a screw behind the door release handle inside. Also there's normally 2 screws holding the big handle that you use to pull the door shut. Then you just have to go careful with the electrics and unplug them.

yes the glass usually sits in a holder along the bottom and the runners can 'grab' the glass and pull it out. When you have relocated the glass smear some Vaseline around the edges of the glass to lubricate it as it goes up and down in the door frame and that should cure it. (Do this on all windows to avoid a repeat).

The plastic cog on the window regulator has probally snapped in half if its a mk6-6.5 fiesta. Common fault. You can try an find a regulatot from a scrap yard or the bay. Or buy a regulator assembly.

Make sure u say its a 3 door or 5 door if you go down scrapyard as they can be diffrent

2 hours labour so whatever rates they charge I would advise bringing to garage if u not confident u don't wanna break something might end up costing u more if u to replace the window reg it's a nightmare
