Philf1
Yeh I think you will need plastic primer because it is flexible. You will need to sand it all down first and then between coats. Haha I sound like some sort of professional but I'm not too scared to paint stuff myself just take it to a body shop Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app

jeebowhite
Most plastic primers are all the same! So any generic plastic primer will do Sent from my MY SAGA C2 using Ford OC mobile app
Hyrule
I've been painting all sorts of plastics lately from bonnet lips, tow eyes to the dull grey plastics on the side of the car. I use this primer, works great. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HYCOTE-GREY-PLASTIC-PRIMER-SPRAY-PAINT-400ml-/151111076289?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item232eec09c1 This is how I do mine: Do it outside preferably when its not to windy, but if indoors, wear a mask and make sure there is plenty of ventilation. Sand down whatever you are painting first, I use 400grit, it's just to key the surface for the primer to take hold. Spray one coat, wait 15-30mins, then spray the 2nd coat, another 15-30mins, then final coat. Leave to dry for 24hours minimum. Again sand down the primer lightly to get the surface as smooth as possible. Spray first coat of paint, wait 15-30mins, 2nd coat, another 15-30mins, then final coat. You can do a fourth coat if you like. Again leave to dry for 24hours. Up to you here if you wish to sand down the paint layer, before applying lacquer/clear coat. I personally don't as I think the finish is fine, but it's up to you. Then 3 coats of lacquer and leave to dry for 24hours, longer the better.
liam1984
If it is already painted all it will need is a scuff up or a light sand with 800 grit. Then you just de-grease and paint in the colour you want Sent from my C1905 using Ford OC mobile app

karlos1987
Don't be scared. If you mess up you can always start over. I currently have my car outside with a half finished rear bumper. Like Hyrule said. Make sure you sand between primer - paint - laquer. I forgot this. Lol. Not the end of the world just had a rough feel and had to sand down till smooth with 2500 grit. Then got to laquer. Sent from my C5303 using Ford OC mobile app
