bry0586
Had my oil n oil filter come the other day. Is this right as I always thought thet had metal covers over them? Does this new filter replace the old one with the old cover on top? Sent from my GT-I8190N using Ford OC mobile app
SeanW
When you take it off, see if you can remove the innards. I've only ever seen them as complete units though Sent from my SM-P600 using Ford OC mobile app
itsrelfy
That's the same one as I got for my 1.6tdci. If you look under the turbo and down towards the ground you will see a black plastic cap with a 27mm nut on top. You need to unscrew that and the filter is in there. It makes life easier if you remover the black air hose that goes into the turbo.

south_bound
I always end up loosening the intercooler piipe as well - the screw cap catches on this either on the way out or the way back in afterwards. I'm sure its not the most difficult access to the oil filter in the world, but Ford could have made it a lot easier if they had thought about it!
