Ok Sell To Me A Fiesta St 2 Or 3

I currently own a 1.25 zetec 2013 fiesta, and I'm seriously thinking of upgrading mainly for the bigger 1.6 engine to st holds, as I live in a fairly hilly area, But what else are the 'oooh' points to consider for the st?

Matt will be along shortly to sell it to you I'm sure.

but if you can afford one then get one, good value for money and there the top of the fiesta range, only downside is tax compared to the 1.0 and slightly worse fuel but worth it for the extra punch

Ridiculously high running costs?

But in all seriousness its an ST, what more needs to be said!

It'll be a hell of a lot faster than your ZS, looks better, LED DRL's, the noise it will make, other people will envy you, nicer seats, more toys etc

go and test drive one, then afterwards try and walk away without placing an order.

I got a test drive of a st2 this afternoon :)

I've also contacted my insurers for a quote, and it only goes up £10

Just to play devils advocate - It's terrible.

Oh and if you have hills, any turbo charged torque will be sufficient! Ie 1.0 litre ;)

Agreed, that's how I ended up with mines.

Well took one for a test drive, still couldn't cope with one of the hills mine has trouble on *shrugs*

Nice drive though :)

Not yet is my conclusion

If you are using an appropriate gear and revs, I fail to see how the ST is struggling?.

I second that, mine still pulls like a train in 3rd with some hills near me and they are pretty steep

In 1st pulling out from a entrance already on a steep hill, tried 2nd partway up and it started kangarooing and coughing *shrugs*

Not written car off though, just moved into a not yet category

Need to learn how to drive bro! Or it was broken, Mine goes up the High Wycombe hill from the town to the M40 with no issues in 5th gear and still pulls all the way up it.

Ignore any comments about Tax for Christ sake, its £130 a year, anyone that can't afford that shouldn't be driving, it's less than a set of decent tyres and brake pads, plus any repair in 3 years time will cost more than that, can't afford it then don't drive.

and I only dropped 7MPG when I switched from the 1.0, well worth the money, plus it'll be worth a lot lot more in a few years than all the other models which will be worth nothing, except maybe a fully speccd TX which some people may part with a fair few quid for at some point.

If it struggled to get up there I'd hate to think what a 1.25 does when you pull away up there.

Working fine here.

The ST has more torque than the 1.6 TDCi so can't see how it would struggle on any incline

Take another one out, the car pulls away fine in 3rd gear from a standstill on flat ground (working the clutch slowly)

Quote still isn't working, click quote and the box pops up but no text is in there.

Can you post a message in General Site Requests and we'll see if we can work out what is going on.

sounds like you need something with a little more poke for that hill of yours, could try your local Lamborghini dealership?

Great car only had mine a month but I can safely say that it's brilliant. Depends on what you want a car for. Me I wanted a car for the misses but one that I can have fun in at weekends (I have a van for work) But since owning it I won't let her drive it (she a kerber) and I'm considering getting her a KA.

The tax like has already been said yes more expensive but come on 130 for the year it's awesome for what it does. Mpg well I used to drive my Nissan almeria 2.2 diesel to the limit cause there wasn't much power.

Now I have the power I use less fuel with it not needing as much right foot to get the speed up (overtaking etc).

Plus petrol is cheaper.

Never has a problem on any hills and I tend to the search for the hills as there normally fun roads near hills lol.

Pulls like a train in every gear.

Although when I test drove I wasn't used to it and kept kangaroo bouncing it. But since changing my driving style to suit the car it's perfect in every way.

I am that much in love with this car that once it's payed of I don't think I'll ever want to sell it!

And as the mrs says you care more about that car than me :P

Verdict you need one in your life. And all you will do is drive around smiling :D

P.s I don't work for ford although I think I'd do a great job :)
