my catatylitic converter as started to smell in the car,ive been told not to worry,but dont hold the car on the clutch,is this correct i own a ford c-max tdci ghia on a 57 plate

If it's the cat going (shouldn't be yet) then it smells like rotten eggs

If it's the clutch itself then there are instances of this problem around
