Lenny
Hi folks, got my wind deflectors on the car today. also spent about 3 hours cleaning the car so alls nice and shiny. Here's a few pics:wind deflectors look great and carry the flow of tint from rear windows to the fronts nicely stream line, Great advantage being able to leave windows open that little bit on hot days when parked without worrying "what if it rains" Serious shine off the body work aswell mate If you have any cleaning products left over would you do mine aswell? Please.... ?

(Not showing off or anything).50" :oOw you have big, big Cojones Also when you said about your partner collecting it: reminds me of a story, I knew a guy from Tallaght in Dublin called Gary, who's missus won a 32" led TV back in 2004, She won it on a local radio station, FM104 back when the first came out, So Gary came home from work and was told by his missus to pick up the prize the following day, Gary was working down the country the next day, As result he collected the TV before work, Since Gary's an electrician driving a hatch back mk3 Mondeo, His boot compartment was full of tools, So he slid the TV box in on the back seat footwell's, and off to work he went, Later that evening Gary was driving home, The car driving behind him was rite up his rear end, on approaching traffic lights, Gary spotted the cops at the junction and knew he couldn't continue through as light approached red, So he braked hard, whilst hoping the car behind wouldn't rear end him, Upon stopping Gary felt a thump on the back of his seat, He assumed the car behind had rear ended him, Gary kept out of the car and without checking for damage to his vehicle Gary proceeded to give the driver of the car behind him an ear full, standing at their window, When mid flight he remberd the LCD TV he had put on the back footwell's that morning, The driver behind hadn't rear ended him, When he braked hard, The TV box flipped forward, hitting his seat, Resulting in him assuming the car behind had hit him lmao

I actually have an earful to a not so cheery chap today who didn't know how to use a merge lane, obviously he thought I was to blame. It's amazing how certain people are allowed to drive. I know a woman who has the worst kind of diabetes, doesn't take medication for it, has blacked out 5 times behind the wheel and she is still allowed to drive. The 5th I actually witnessed her crashing into 2 cars. Class.

I actually have an earful to a not so cheery chap today who didn't know how to use a merge lane, obviously he thought I was to blame. Ah would ya not pull over to the fast lane and make room for him to pull out of the feeder lane early, So he can show his cars so powerful it doesn't need that much runway It's amazing how certain people are allowed to drive. I know a woman who has the worst kind of diabetes, doesn't take medication for it, has blacked out 5 times behind the wheel and she is still allowed to drive. The 5th I actually witnessed her crashing into 2 cars. Class. very true mate, I worked with a guy called Steven, He was stage 3 diabetic too, daily commute to work for him was 40min each way, He flaked out at the wheel on route home one Thursday evening straight across oncoming traffic lane and in to a hedge, Almost killed himself and wrote off his vectra, So did he do as he should and stop driving? No! He went and bought an Isuzu Cobra instead. So if it happens again he will be safer and escape with minor injury But lmao God help the rest of us though the big thick!

Im getting the Apex 35-45 springs fitted, looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll lower by 40 all round. Will look great, Rear flaps will be fine but you may want to hold off on fitting the front flaps until around 3-4 weeks after lowering, Give the springs time to bed in, Adter this you can see if you will need to trim the front flaps down a bit before fitting, Easier to trim them before fitting, Looking forward to seeing it mate,
kpg
Right folks it's been a while I know. Work has been mad lately, missed the Irish meet set up my Lenny and the lads because of it. Anyways I managed to get a few things done, got mud flaps on the rear, finally, all lines up nicely. Big one today: got my Apex springs on and boy does she look amazing. Perfect. The springs are surprisingly comfortable, not crashy or bumpy at all. The mech actually rang me twice today to chat about how good the car looked lol Next big thing now will be painting the lower front lip black and getting my front flaps on. kpg
Looks great. How much of a drop is that? On the box it says 35mm-40mm. It looks lower though, after a week or two it'll bed in nicely so should be around 5mm lower than it sits in those pics. kpg
Small update: just scored the facelift dash fascia (round), cubby tray and heated windscreen buttons panel of eBay for £50 :) it's all finished in that silver carbon so all will match. I also won a facelift centre console in the silver carbon so just need to figure out how to fit that when it comes :-/ Keeping an eye on a few things on eBay too so could be some more purchases soon. Stoney871
Follow my guide under this post (when viewed on a PC). You'll need new kick panels too as the mk2 ones won't fit anymore. If you need any wiring to connect up the two power sockets give me a shout.

I should be ok with the wiring but I'll def take some advice if needed, thanks for the offer. Can I just take a splice from the 12v that's already in front of the gearstick? Stoney871
If you go to Ford they should have them in stock, if not they usually do parts ordering twice weekly, so if you order Monday they should arrive wednesday. Parts numbers are in my guide. You can indeed take straight off the front socket. I daisy chained off to the front socket and then from there to the rear one, all run parallel. I used these as they fit onto the Ford socket pins exactly- http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=130873525986&alt=web They terminals just crimp onto the wires and then clip into the blocks. I can send you some if you need them. You could just use bayonet crimps if you want but I liked the tidyness of the blocks and also they reduce the risk of crossing the circuit or causing shorts. I used good quality 10A cable too just in case.
kpg
Excellen mate, thanks for the advice. I think I'll go to ford and order them parts then. I'm sure they're not that costly. Also, so I need a new gear gaitor/surround ? What are those part numbers ? Sent from my iPhone 5s.
Stoney871
I have one in pretty decent condition you can have for a reasonable remuneration. They're £97 from Ford and pretty rare on eBay.
