kpg
I have one in pretty decent condition you can have for a reasonable remuneration. They're £97 from Ford and pretty rare on ebay. £97 each ?! Holy hell lol which side have you got and for how much ? Stoney871
I have a full knob, gaiter and the fitting collar and is definitely for a mk2.5 console. Gaiter has very small cracking at the top near the knob and the insert has minor wear to the silver line but still darn good condition for a used part. Can I say £25 inc postage? If you're happy with that then PM me and I'll post my paypal link. I'd whack it in the post as soon as payment clears.

kpg
Well I've got my facelift centre console fitted and I must say, I love how everything matches but the roller armrest thingy is class. So comfortable. I just need to wire up the 12v sockets and get my gear stick gaitor surround fitted, supplied by Stoney, thanks mate. Pics to come soon. Really happy with how it looks, nice and sporty with a touch of class lol loving the little garage door compartment too. Stoney871
Lovely job there. The mk2.5 console is far more stylish than the mk2 one.
kpg
Lovely job there. The mk2.5 console is far more stylish than the mk2 one. Yea definitely, I like the way the carbon effect is continued down the dash and along the centre console. Very nice indeed. kpg
I've been looking for a free flowing air box hose for my car but can't seem to find any marked for the 1.6 Ti-Vct. Anyone know where I can get one? They all seem to be marked for ST/RS. I just got a Green Cotton air filter and its great but I think id like to add the free flowing air hose to match it and see if that makes any difference. luke.grimbley
Best thing to do would be buy a length of hose with the right inside diameter and cut it to fit.
kpg
As you may know from another thread I'm fitting the RS Led rear lights to my car. A lot of head scratching and google searching going on but I think, with the help of gforce, I've figured it out how to wire them in. So this Saturday will be trial run day, I'll hopefully get one working until the wiring loom for the other arrives. Have to order that tomorrow. Pics to follow of course, I'll try get one fitted and working to show the difference between LED and normal rear lights. kpg
Got the lights fitted, a lot easier than I thought. The hardest part was removing and putting back together the trim in the boot. Wiring was simple, match up the colours and pick a black wire for the ground. There's two grounds already present in the MK2 wiring, one for each bulb (break and indicator) but the MK2.5 looms share one earth wire. So it doesn't matter which black you chose to use as the earth wire. Here's a pic of the way I wired the lights up: Pic fitted in daylight: Pic fitted at nighttime: All in, I think the lights cost me £130 which isn't bad. £80 for the lights £32.68 for one of the looms £20 for the MK2.5 plugs from breakers. kpg
Next thing now will be an ST spoiler I think. I can't seem to find any good pedal covers anywhere, metal ones, anybody have a link to some ? I've got Santa bringing me a Pioneer AVH-X2600BT head unit for Crimbo so excited about that. Going to purchase myself a set of door sill plates too next time I get paid. Can't really think of anything else at this point in time. Just really enjoying the car at the minute. kpg
Wow your bulbs for the rear are bright and footwells. What you got fitted? The rear lights are genuine Ford RS LED units with normal red bulb for brake and silvatech for indicator. The footwell lights are 30cm 5050 LED strips from eBay. Sent from my iPhone 5s. Excellent Choice of Headunit mate Pioneer headunits are number one choice. See my guide here for a link to the tidyist conversion kit on the market from DynamicSounds comes with patch lead so your steering stalk control will work with the pioneer headunit. Guide installing aftermarket conversion kit: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/63689-guide-fitting-aftermarket-headunit-mk25-focus-2008-2011/ Also if your considering installing a Sub next year I've got three MDF amp mounting boards going cheap, One full span of rear seats with 19mm cavity Two single seat size with 9mm cavity, All ready for carpet and mounting of amp/amps. Idea of cavity is to hide the cables result only amp itself is visible. See guide: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/63695-guide-fitting-custom-amp-sub-enclosure-mk2-mk25-focus-2005-2011/ As for pedal covers ive had the genuine ford ones in my watch list for over a year, They were down to 55GBP until people started buying them for the Mk3 focus then ford put there price up, Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Genuine-Ford-Kuga-2008-2012-Aluminium-Pedal-Covers-/350259547246?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AFord&hash=item518d188c6e One final thing; if you are planning to fit a sub ive got brand new 8AWG Vibe slick power cable and earth all you need is RCA going for the cost of shipping. And there's a good quality 10"sub going for sale here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/63810-for-sale-jl-audio-10w3v2-300w-rms-subwoofer/ Just putting the information out there mate.
kpg
Sweet, thanks for the info Lenny. I'm imagining my install will look like the first pic in your guide. I'm actually ok with how that looks if I'm honest. I just can't wait to have my dash completed with a nice head unit and matching fascia. After changing the centre console to the mk2.5 style I couldn't put the new fascia on as I have the square head unit at the minute, the silver carbon effect is lighter on the mk2 than the mk2.5 and is the curved cutout. Santa managed to get me a new guitar for Christmas instead. Thanks Santa ! One thing I have sorted, as a present to myself, is an ST spoiler. Comes already painted in Panther black too, that should be arriving tomorrow and hopefully fitted Saturday morning providing the staff do on Friday isn't a mental one this year.
