kpg
New HT leads? They can degrade and break down causing intermittent weak sparks. I've just ordered some new Bosch HT leads so hopefully these will make a difference. If it doesn't solve the problem could it be crankshaft related? kpg
Just thought I'd update my thread with a couple pics taken today. Still waiting for my new HT leads to arrive. After cleaning the throttle body car does feel like it pulls better. A good bit smoother too. The only thing bothering me now is a loud click when braking. Don't have a clue what it is or where it's coming from but only happens when braking. Anyways here's the pics: And a lovely wee sunset: :) Sent from my iPhone 5s.
kpg
Ok so HT leads arrived today and I fitted them in 15mins on my lunch break. Definitely feels a lot better moving off in first gear. No lurching, loss of power, struggling etc. happy boy again. I'm pretty sure the car will last me til the end of the year. If it gets to 100,000 miles or after Christmas I'll be looking to change. I had a MK7 Zetec Fiesta a while back and loved it so I'm considered moving back to the Fiesta only this time a Zetec S with the 1.6. Petrol obviously. Running costs should be a bit cheaper than the Focus so that's a bonus. I did have a look at the 2.5T Mondeo TitX. Very nice car indeed. But for now I'm enjoying the nips of the Focus :) Sent from my iPhone 5s.

kpg
Just keeping my thread alive as usual :p We had a brand new Transit Connect in the other day for branding. It was for a local motor factors. The guy wanted his new van to stand out over the rest so i decided to try this: He loved it. Although I think since he's changed his mind about the purple. I'm going to convince him to go grey metallic gunmetal instead of purple ;) On another note the guy with the AC Cobra was back in. Things seem to be moving along nicely there, hopefully get the car down before the end of this month !! Nothing new on my car really. I tidied up some of the wiring and my loose 'garage door' . Also switched out the 12v from near the gearstick for the ford push start button and wired up the 12v inside the armrest. I'll get pics at the weekend as I'm changing the LED strips in my footwell a from white to green. Will transfer the whites to underneath the doors. Got a new reverse camera built into a license plate holder too for the rear as the camera/light unit I have now is a different colour light than my led unit and it's also blocking off half the light to the plate itself. A bit stupid with no pics, I know, but I took next week off work so plenty of time to get things sorted with the car. kpg
The license plate camera was rubbish so still have the LED number plate unit in place with the included camera. Didn't get a chance to swap over the footwell leds but I did get something else done that was bugging me for ages. The scuttle panel below the windscreen kept coming loose and allowed water in get into where the wiper motors are. I got some new clips and secured the panel very very tightly, no budging. Other than that little thing I just cm have the car a good wash and shine. Some pics: Also one of the ballasts for my new HIDs has stopped working :( I've put my old 35w set back in until I get a replacement ballast. Typical it would happen over Easter. kpg
Just because I can't leave well enough alone, I made a mess: Can you guess what I was doing, besides making a mess and hurting myself? Yep, adding some new led strips: Changed the footwells to green and added white to under the door trim. I need to get some of that black felt wrap stuff for the wires but the shops are closed today so will get that done as soon as. Night shots to follow ;) Sent from my iPhone 5s.
kpg
Yea so I decided I don't like the green :( I think I'll go back to white tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone 5s.

kpg
Does look very hulkish Why not go blue ;) I thought green to match the speedo illumination. I like things to match but I'm thinking the White is neutral and looks pretty good on a black car. I've got blue led strips here, I may try them but I was going to use them in my fiancés mk3 focus as the dash illumination is blue in that. We shall see. Hassen
Not my thing the gold tbh but to each their own and long as You are happy, that's all that matters :) Did you paint it gold or is this just Photoshop?

Just toying with the idea at the minute. I used an app for my iPhone called "Colour Effects". I've always liked gold wheels on black cars. I thought it may work on mine especially as I don't see many mk2s with these alloys let alone gold wheels :) Sent from my iPhone 5s.
Stoney871
Bronze wheels on a WRX looks fine but a bit too bling on a Ford. A smoked silver or gunmetal grey is more subtle.

jbeer
I've been looking at these flip keys as well, i already have a flip key blade so I'm wondering if you can just change the blade itself
Stoney871
You can swap the blades but it is a bit fiddly. Locksmiths use a proper jig to hold the key and blade steady. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=271505403707&alt=web
kpg
who quoted you that price for flip key paul Well I won the key on eBay for £26 delivered which wasn't bad I thought. The quote came from a local auto locksmith to cut and programme the key; £75. Sent from my iPhone 5s.

I was thinking of changing the blades over but I only have one key anyways so it's prob best to get the new cut and keep the old as a spare.
