stef123
The sump plug and washer is a one piece part so you can't just replace the washer in afraid. I have reused then many times with no problems

Lenny
Mine is in two pieces. Wonder if its broke. Daz shoukd be just a washer made from copper and a bolt. I logged on to Micksgarage.com entered the focus registration plate number, And up came all available parts for my specific model, I purchased Bosh Wiper Blades, oil Sump plug Seal (copper washer) Bosh oil Filter I had previously been to Halfords and purchased a can of Wynne's engine flush for diesels its also available for petrol engines. Micksgarage also supply Castrol oil but its slightly cheaper in Tesco plus you get the Club card points back too. http://www.tesco.com/direct/edge-fully-synthetic-5w30-engine-oil-4-litre/136-8860.prd Ive also done a guide on changing the Wiper Blades here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/38125-guide-wiper-blade-change-focus-mk2-mk25/
JW1982
Many of the newer Ford models use a sump plug with a rubber washer. This rubber washer is part of the sump plug and can not be bought seperately. In my opinion the rubber washer can be reused a few times without any problems. Some older Ford models had exactly the same sump plug but instead of the rubber washer they had a plastic washer which could be bought seperately. This plastic washer is also a perfect fit to the newer sump plugs. Officially the plastic washer are discontinued but many Ford dealers do still have old stock. Last year I bought about 20 plastic washers for a few Euro's. This way I have enough stock myself for future oil changes and do not have to buy the expensive sum plugs.
south_bound
My 2007 1.6TDCi has a copper washer, 10mm internal diameter, 20mm outer diameter. I have been meaning to replace it for ages but never got around to it and have reused the same one for the last 8 or so oil changes. The bigger problem I have is that I think I have striipped the thread on the plug - it tightens then suddenly gives and I need to go around another turn to tighten it again. I check the oil level regularly and it is ok, even though there is a slight seep from the drain plug. I might go to Ford to get a new one for the sake of £8 and peace of mind, and get a new washer at the same time.

Only ever seen the rubber seal type. I hope it's the plug you have stripped and not the sump?
