That's the amp I got sitting pretty in its box. Rather do it the old fashioned way so audio input there when hu gets upgraded so don't have to take the car apart again.

Yea that's the wire I meant. Couldn't remember what it was called lol Don't think the factory hu has a signal wire for an amp but might have to have a look . . .

Ah okay! Fair enough if you're definitely upgrading the headunit :)

95% sure the headunit will provide 12v DC to the antenna when switched on.. So if you find out the wire you can just tap into that :)

had chance to crack on this weekend. One box with holes glued and screwed. Been round the inside with clear silicone to seal it as well. Once that's dry the plan will be to get it carpeted some point this week ready for install! Whoop!

The only questioning asking myself is where should I put the amp itself?

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Looking good! You could either mount the amp in the

Spare wheelwell

Or

False floor

Or simply on the enclosure using some vibration dampening mounts/grommets

You could even hide it away under one of the front seats if you really wanted (I've mounted my 4 channel amp under there although that's powering the door Speakers

I reckon on the enclosure would look smart. Are these the mount things you mentioned? eBay number 281280173607

Luxury acoustic carpet came from Radio world today, looks and feels rli good quality. Can't complain for 7quid for 100x140. Hopefully get it on with the spray adhesive picked up from Boyes this week.

Also got the quadlock extender from germany. All the wires have written on em what they are so will probs get the hi to lo converter tapped in this week aswel.

As it was ready decided to crack on and get it in. Three evenings later and we're done! Sounds brilliant! Shout out to lenny (for advice) and gingerflame (the sub itself and advice)

I also put a button on ignition lead for sub so can turn off if sitting with engine off for long periods . . . (red glow matches cluster +radio :) )

Took the idea for placement from someones guide on here, cant remember whose  but thanks!

Hi loonytaz. I used a fuse tap to a ignition fuse in the end as couldn't find defiant answer myself, a lot of people were saying there's a wire in connector b or c that works as a sub ign lead but didn't have that wire coming out of my quadlock and havent got a volt meter to test em all. i fed wire across from fuse box across under dash and put in a switch to give full control. Sorry I can't help you further mate.

And got me a Dash cam, usb power convertor and left angled micro usb aswel to hard wire in, went with the G1HW as it had the best reviews for the value (£35 quid), captures 1080p. I think it is most likely the best addition to the car yet as you never know whats going to happen when out and about on the roads these days, would recommend everyone get one for peace of mind! Plus footage would be wicked on track days!

also Bought a 16gb micro sd the other day off eBay for my dashcam and look what the H2test showed, b*st*rds trying to rip me off! H2test is a brilliant little program which tests usb/cards etc. to find fakes with memory problems. This card is similar to me, it all goes in but only half can come out haha.

needless to say I requested a refund of the 4quid it cost me lol
