jimbro
Just fitted a reversing camera to the Mondeo for reversing up to our caravan. Its the type with the screen in the rearview mirror. It just clips on to the existing mirror. I was a bit concerned the mirror may not be very good as an actual mirror but its not bad. I'll give it a good try this weekend when we go away with the caravan. Sent from my GT-N8010 using Ford OC mobile app
jeebowhite
I have the same setup and think its so easy! The only thing I dont like is that these aftermarkets when you dip them they are dipped, unlike the actual mirror where when you dip them you can still see out the window but darker. jimbro
That's the bit I was worried about but this one only seems to have a slight tint to it. Some of them are almost unusable as a mirror Must admit, the camera is pin sharp, even in the dark as the LEDs light it up
stevegtuk
I have done tha same thong too. Originally I got a monitor and built it into the sunvisor so when I was reversing I just pulled down the sunvisor, slide the mirror cover back and there was the monitor. Unfortunately, I wanted to fit one of those tinted plastic sunvisor extenders thingys, which meant I couldn't use the monitor, and opted for the mirror with screen in it. The only draw back I have found is, sometimes when it is bright outside, the screen can be a little difficult to see.
jeebowhite
When its too bright to see, dip the mirror, I do it all the time, just dip the mirror for reversing and it works a charm! Also these monitors have got adjustments on the rear, but as mine is only powered up when the lights come on, it seems to forget just how I like it :p
