Hi guys, so my partner's coffee exploded in my car this morning.. I laughed it off at the time but after we cleaned it up, my sync screen has gone pale/white. Everything is functioning correctly but the screen itself is failing.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks in advance, Lucas.

Think I'll have to. No evidence of liquid damage from what I can see so should be okay..

Yup I'd defiantly play dumb, espically being under warranty they probably won't question it.

I didn't see any large amounts of liquids enter through the buttons, only droplets which I cleaned off immediately.. Not sure what they'll say but it's worth a try, especially when in was in for repair only 3 weeks ago...

Hi guys,

Update - got away with it.

Agreed that the screen needs replacing under warranty so will go back to have it fitted in 2 weeks.

She told me the part alone costs £450! With labour upwards of £700!

Booked a hire car for the day as well so looking forward to seeing what they offer me :)

Blimey, around £1200 in total!  They must be estimating over a days work for one person on that, surely it can't be that hard to take the screen out?  It's not exactly a hidden away part which can't be seen...

Sorry I don't think I explained very well, I meant upwards of £700 for parts and Labour!

But definitely gold spanners time!
