Dynorod
Hi Can anyone please help me my Fiesta Edge N/Swing mirror was wrecked so I ordered a new one on eBay to try and fitmyself BUT I just noticed i ordered a power folding one and mine are NOTpower folding.Does this mean I will not be able to fit this as it has 7pin plug rather than 5 ? Or can I still do it easily ? If not will haveto return...HELP please Cheers
Jake90087
M guess would be no as the adjustment switch is different between powerfold and non-powerfold mirrors. Plus they would need coding. One thing you can try is splicing the same coloured wired between the cars loom and the mirrors loom. They would most likely work and the extra two wires are only for the folding motor. However I have no experience with this and it may not be worth it. But it could be worth a shot!

D13 HPD 95
its easy to do move the mirror right down and unclip the mirror and remove the heater element wires if you have them the 3 clips hold the cap in place use a big screw driver to pop that off, then the mirror indicator comes off and the open the door there is a rubber gromet around 30mm there is a 10mm nut inside i believe this will release the mirror then to remove the wiring from the loom use a small knife to remove the door handle cover and there is 3 bolts to remove using a torx 25 i think then the door open release thing on the inside of it you will see a little black flap use a tiny flat driver and remove that and remove the same torx 25 bolt, the to get the door card you have to carfully pop all the clips all the way round untill the card comes of in your hand the undo the door release cable and window wiring remove the wing mirror wiring and the wing mirror can be taken off then put the mirror in place and tighten it up after you have feed the new wiring back through plug it in, put the ignition on and check the mirror moves then its a case of putting the door cable back on, window wiring push the door card back into places and carful not to break any of the clips the put all the 4 bolts back in and push the 2 covers back into place and jobs done :) if the mirror is in bits just put the base on and when the door card is back together put the indicator bulb back in and the cover then push the cap back on makes a horrible noise but is fine and then clip the mirror back on :) easy job but will take around an hour and yes the youtube vid will be same just the plug is different
Peterjones
Well I had a similar issue with mine being a powerfold. Good news was with a bit of creative diy reapiring broken clips with good plastic glue, I purchased a new mirror and indicator from eBay and the repair was complete. Total cost was £25 for parts as opposed to £140 that ford wanted for the whole power fold unit before fitting.

D13 HPD 95
yh no worries, when you move the mirror all the way down you can then use a small screw driver to prise it away from its clips it comes off very easily then use a bigger screw driver to unclip the mirror cap you will see three tabs on the inside after you remove the mirror then the indicator lens is held in with a little plastic clip you push in and it comes off again very easily any more just ask
