Bonnet struts are a good mod,
Would grip bonnet preventing it ever happening again,
Those bonnet hinges cut through the wings like a knife through butter

What caused it? Good to hear you are all safe that is absolutely terrifying.

I would have screamed like a 5 year old little girl

I'm not so sure they would Lenny, I think the force of the wind grabbing the bonnet would either rip the piston out the cylinder or rip the complete strut off it's mounting.

I'm also a fan of those program's too.

I have never heard of a bonnet flying up on any year of Focus I have to admit. I did see it happen to someone on a dual carriage way once.. Scary enough just to see it happen!

Would have been epic tarantino stuff,
Had a motorcycle been behind you,
Bonnet ripped off rotating in the air coliding with the head of the motorcyclest
Although you would need a front and rear dash cam for that,
Can you imagine how many Youtube hits that would get?
