I dont think anyone has before i haven't seen any...

Maybe ill be the first, started spraying it this morning, only thing I'm worried about is the paint cracking under the heat of the engine, only one way to find out if it will be okay i suppose post-53610-140976126089_thumb.jpgpost-53610-140976130631_thumb.jpgpost-53610-140976131948_thumb.jpg

I had the cover painted on my ST, I know it's a different engine but that was done in normal paint. You could put silver foil tape on the underside to reflect heat if you wanted.

Isn't the 1.0L cover a flexible rubber material? That would be more of an issue for the paint rather than the heat.

Yeah it's normal plastic, the guy who sprayed mine was worried about the heat, but after a run out I checked the temp of the cover and it was the same as outside the car, it gets warm when stationary though.

I wouldn't paint the whole thing the paint cracks easily as its so flexible , I'm gunna strip all the paint off and just paint the ecoboost n ford bit but was worth a try i guess post-53610-140977493485_thumb.jpg
