Ford Fiesta St Looking Issue

Help me protect my baby!!

Apologise I may be being blonde but I've tried the various things I've seen posted about locking issues but now have worked.

What I know

- fob key is not locking either door on the car. The motor is working the locking mechanism down but not "sticking" (see when using fob on open door - wee locking arm comes down but pops straight back up)

- can lock drivers door with key but have to hold it in position 3 for a few seconds. If I do this it unlocks passenger door if have locked it from the inside.

- door open warning light sporadically comes on and stays on for a while.

- Tried reprogramming but any get it to go to position 3 without force and then can't return it there 4 times.

Please help a damsel in distress!

Sounds like the door open warning that is causing the issue, this will stop the car locking properly, the switch is probably faulty or water damaged. Are you having issues with the interior lights?

Yeah but I assumed that was because the faulty door warning was the issue with the light. A connection not made resulted in the light staying on. Any easy way for me to check?

My passenger door warning comes on when I do windows up/down.. Absolute pain, so I took the easy way out and just P/ex'd it for a new ST ;)
