Anyway finally after a long wait with the insurance and the car being built, we picked the new ST3 on the 1st September, car is identical except this has sat nav which is the only option the last one didn't have.

Just realised this is the only picture I've taken of the whole car but, I'm sure we all know what a Spirit blue ST looks like by now.

Some of these mods where swapped from the old to the new so some pics will show the old car.

Future plans hopefully the rest of the Mountune catalogue, couple more gloss black bits inside, rest of the AS caps and a speaker and sub upgrade.

Thanks for taking the time to look, seems more when you write it down and feels a bit like attending an AA meeting, admitting you have a problem lol.

Immense effort! How easy do the door inserts come off? I tried to do this the other week and seemed pretty solidly attached ;)

Start at the top, just on the bend or where it meets the door card, use a small flat screwdriver and a cloth to protect the plastic, prise it off, once one clip has released you can just pull the rest of the trim out by working your way down. At the bottom end it has a hook so once it looks like it's free you need to slide the trim towards the front of then car to remove completely.

When you have removed it you will see the clips and hook, which will make taking the other one off and refitting easier.

P.s what happened to the first one :o ?

Misses was driving on a dual carriage way, the guty in front came to an abrupt stop for no reason and she went in the back of him, she still thinks it was a "crash for cash" accident.

Starter badge, REVO is also available

Key fob cover, can only find black but the seller may do other colours, orange was available when I got mine.

Managed to get home early and decided to give the car it's first bath, wasn't that dirty but makes it look better. Wheels look loads better they had gone a darker grey with the brake dust. Will give it a better clean at the weekend and put some gtechniq on the wheels and windows and some sealant on the paintwork.

Of course, it's only a car at the end of the day. We were given a corsa 1.4 auto for a while, awful car used twice the fuel the ST did.

There is a guide in the owners manual, basically, tilt the mirror lens down shine a torch in and you will see 3 tags which need to be pushed/levered to release, once one has released you should also be able to gentle pull the cover at the same time as pushing the other tabs.

Either hold on to the cover or put something on the floor as some people have dropped them which is easy to do.

You need a chrome 501 bulb.

Star! Lesson learnt - if its not giving way at one end, try the other!

I was wondering why it was still hanging on when i tried it from the bottom! managed to get them off easily now, although inevitably my screwdriver slipped at first attempt and now theres a minor scratch

First time I took them off I pulled too hard and bent the hooked part luckily it didn't snap off, once clipped back in place it was fine though.

Are you wrapping, painting or replacing yours?

Managed to get hold of some wrap but I'll see how it turns out. Will keep an eye out for breakers too if need be :)

Not yet, maybe after a few more miles, it would be nice to get similar figures but I'm happy with how it drives. Still hot to grit the intercooler and boost hoses and waiting for the exhaust to be released.

In the last couple of weeks I've done the following

Fitted gloss black plastics at the front and rear, makes such a difference, really should have been like this from the factory. Also fitted new mirror caps in grey to match the wheels. Uprated fog light bulbs and chrome side indicators fitted while covers were off.
