pat88
Hi Guys - hope someone can help... I have a 2000 Ka2, the car vibrates under acceleration - a juddering. The suspension / ball joints & bushes are all good. I am certain it is the nearside driveshaft. I have jacked the car to get the wheel off the ground, there is massive play in the gearbox end of the drive shaft -as i rotate the shaft it moves at least 5mm off centre, so it looks like something is wrong at the gearbox end. My question is, what is in there? I guess it has a bearing and oil seal (no oil leak though), but what is likely to need replacing? How big a job? The damage is probably from a pot-hole. When I bought the car there was a massive dent in the wheel this side! thanks
