Phil 87
I'm quite happy with the tax for the ST, around £120 per year which is good when you look at the performance of the car.

jeebowhite
If I HD a shotgun I'm not sure I could help you, I probably would be locked up for improving corsa' bodywork...

MartynS
Back on topic, I've removed my tax disc holder now! Wonder how many cars out and about tomorrow will actually have them removed? Wouldn't mind betting a lot of people don't realise they're now unnecessary.
nath.mk7.st
So can I go and take out my tax disc now or am i likely to get pulled and in trouble for not having it ?? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
MartynS
Depends how much driving you plan on doing and how likely you are to come across a police car who checks if you have one! On the basis there's only 5 hours left of the day I'd say chance it :P. You could always leave the disc loose in the car just in case! Then loads of people will be calling and asking where their tax discs are lol.
nath.mk7.st
Too late it's gone now :) nice clean clear windscreen. It's in the glove box but I'll leave it there incase lol Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
jeebowhite
It's a good job they don't have rules of 'only tax issued after this date need not be displayed' wouldn't you just hate to have bought your disc today and you have 5.9 months to go before your free.... Phil 87
It's in the glove box but I'll leave it there incase lol Same here, I can't imagine it being needed but didn't want to tear it up.
MartynS
I've even kept my holder at the moment lol. Though it's sat sticky side up on a desk, so no doubt come tomorrow it will be covered in dust and therefore useless. What's more funny is my dad picked up his new car today, and the garage have fitted the holder for him. Can't imagine why they would, it's obvious he won't get the disc before it's unneeded if he even gets one at all!
jeebowhite
They normally do that as it's easy advertisement they get their name and number in your car so it's one of the first things you see when you're in a crisis more revenue for them. They will still fit those things in years to come I suspect

jeebowhite
I'm going to leave mine in and design my own tax disc just to see how u can confuse people
MartynS
haha I wonder if the laws around displaying tax discs still apply if you choose to display one :D. You could design a fake one or make up an expiry date and get fined lol.
L666JER
I'm gonna put my 1995 tax disk (first one) in on my mk3 fiesta - that will confuse people, if the car ever comes out of the garage :p
jmurray01
Well, looks like I will be removing the tax disc and holder from the Focus tomorrow. It'll be strange not seeing it in the corner of the windscreen anymore, but I'm not sure I'll exactly "miss" it. Then again, I'm not nicknamed "the procrastinator" for nothing, so therefore the disc (which expires on the 31st of January 2015) will probably remain there at least until it expires - regardless of whether or not it is required.
