hey all , just joined up hoping to get some help

ive got a mk1 1600 focus , im getting a few drips from the foam gasket where the matrix pipes exit the car , cant seem to find much info about why this would drip?

ive read the numerous posts about leaky pollen filters and feel its not that , ive changed it and fitted a new seal , but i still get the drips and weve had no rain sinse

so any ideas - dreading that its the matrix

thanks

Hi, its possibly the matrix just starting to leak, seeing that you have done pollen filter and seal and had no rain. time to get the tools out and have a look, not an easy job! one of the Haynes manuals for your car will help you.

thing is it doesnt smell of coolant at all

does anyone know any exploded diagrams of the heater box , i feel that the a/c drain is working as i get water on the subframe after a run , but possibly somethings up so some of it is coming inside the car

Steve, the a/c drain, is drivers side at the bottom of the heater, a small pipe vents it to the outside of the car, and you should not get any in the car, you also say it is wet on the foam seal, have a look at the pipe connections on the engine bulkhead, to see if they are lose. and the water is getting in under pressure.
