Just had to do LOADSA research to find out this info so thought id share it just in case any1 else needs to know. Just purchsed a Mondeo LX (2001, Y reg) 1.8i. This Mondeo and all others from 2001+ are fitted with a DRIVE CHAIN & not a CAM BELT! So even tho my new lil beast (thats got loadsa extras for a base model) has done 78k theres no need for an expensive belt change WHOOPEE! =) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
