Just been and collected my new exhaust from TNT as I missed the delivery due to work, got it from JWR Racing on FiestaSTOC group buy. Excellent service and delivery, can't fault them.

Can't wait to get it fitted now, it's sat in the box waiting....

Nice and shiney! I am looking at lowering my van but not sure which way to go with it? Don't want it to be too hard a ride as its my daily work van.

Girlfriends dad has a garage so hoping to borrow the ramp some point this week.

Yeh lowering springs are one of the next things on my list. Go for a subtle but noticeablely practical drop then Like 30mm ?

Cool, springs only, springs and shocks or coilovers? Been a while since I lowered a car lol. Think I got a G-Max kit before but not sure.

Depends how low you want to go, If you want a practical low Id just save the money and buy some Eibach or H&R or mountune springs depending on what drop you want

25-30mm drop would do me, would standard shocks be alright with that sort of drop?

Yeh standard shocks should be fine with that, I'm dropping mine on standard shocks.

Looks great, if I could get something like that without affecting the warranty I'd be very tempted :)

Thanks and the only way you'll get a ford warranty approved exhaust is if mountune release it.

If I'm honest though, why do you want a ford warranty friendly exhaust ? It's warrantied by cobra and is much better quality than the standard exhaust. It's highly unlikely to require you to need a visit to ford, it just allows gases to exit the engine hahaa.

Each to there own I suppose, engine etc I can understand as its high cost and you want to keep warranty, but exhausts ? Next people will want warranty friendly wind deflectors and gel overlays.

I'm assuming that fitting a third party exhaust could affect the Ford warranty in some way, maybe if you have engine problems they would try to say your warranty is void because you changed the exhaust. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They'd only do that if the exhaust was found to be at fault :) which is highly unlikely for it to cause engine damage.

That's great, I thought Ford were much more strict with their warranty. If indeed it doesn't affect the warranty then an exhaust might be next on my list of mods (which is an empty list at the moment lol).

How much does that Cobra exhaust cost and is it designed specifically for the ST?

No not that I'm aware, if it ever happened just put the standard back on if you was that worried.

I got the cobra on a group buy for £390 but it's usually around £490. Yes it comes ready built to be put straight on, so obviously been tested and designed before release.
