FOCA
Get a test drive and find out for yourself - how fast/ slow a car is is very subjective and depends what you are used to I would say a 1.0 litre ecoboost with a remap is a lot quicker than the old 1.6 NA (Fiesta)
Celticfan
I've just replaced my 09 Focus Zetec 1.6 petrol with a 63 Focus Zetec S 1.0 125ps petrol and it's brilliant. Enough said :-)
bensambrook
Isn't the 1.0 125ps version as standard quicker than the old 1.6?

Celticfan
Like we're going to get close to the max speed without being stupid. At normal everyday driving speeds I think the 1.0 125 feels quicker.

Yes, agreed, the 130 is quicker to 60 Ecoboosr 1.0L turbo =130Ps/ 1.6 NA = 118ps , the ecoboost is lighter (the engine is so light it makes the overall car noticably lighter) has a fair bit more torque, and has a better power/ torque curve )
Smthers
A bit late to the party, but this more or less answers your question. B) http://youtu.be/aJjoYbqYCvc

Rogue2
Thank you gone for the 1.0 ecoboost 125 edition :) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app Excellent choice! I have had my 1.0 ecoboost 125 since Monday afternoon & i really wasn't ready for how different (in a good way) it is compared to my old 1.4 mk7. Grebe
Wife had 11 plate Focus 1.6 auto (Very slow start pickup, but not bad once wound up) Traded in for 63 plate Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost auto. I know that the Fiesta is a lighter car, but no comparison. Fiesta is s@@t off a shovel and I have found myself doing well in excess of 70 on motorway without realising it. I agree - a very good choice.
