I was looking at a 1.6 titanium on 11 plate with x pack in ink blue,it has full leather and dont know

what other stuff the x pack gives you,it got 23k miles and 1 owner from new....£8995.is this ok.

I have drove it and drives great but seems a lot of road noise,is the normal as i have a 1.4 corsa on

a 09 plate and a hell of a lot more quiet to drive.

i would like to know the m.p.g being a 1.6 and i do very local driving, stop and start like 2 miles there and same back,i have looked on the internet on sites but dont know how true these are.

Also anything i should look for like stuff its got on it and are they ok being the 1.6,did want 1.4.

Thanks...........This is the best place i can think to get the best advice and m.p.g......

Hi. I've got the same spec and age as yours and yes, there is quite a lot of road noise on these. It's a common "complaint" but believe me, you will get used to it very quickly. I came from a 2.5V6 Mondeo (S reg!) and was concerned what a 1.6 Fiesta would be like...now obviously it doesn't have the same poke as the Mondeo, but it's still a great engine with plenty of go.

I paid the same price for mine coincidentally. Mine had 35k miles but the price was upped because Ford owned it prior to me and they had all the optional extras on it, like heated seats, rear camera, illuminated sills and gear knob, lumbar, and rear centre head rest etc. Yours will, no doubt, be similar?

My MPG averages around 42-45 for normal driving, up to 50 on the motorway.

Hope this helps a bit. Oh and upload some pics! :)

Hi, I have a similar car to you to 1.6 S1600 134hp model and I find it does have a lot of road noise but it doesn't have great tyres on it as the garage I brought it from fitted rubbish ones.

I tend to average 36mpg in mine and I do 20 odd miles a day except Sunday's.

It does have a very small fuel tank as it will take around £45 to fill and that's nearly empty.

Cracking car though couldn't recommend a fiesta anymore to you!

Good luck.

The display? You mean the one in the centre of the dash? If so, that should be black and white as your car should have the Sony audio unit? Or are you referring to the speedo?

I cant get the link to work on this site but its on the AA car sales site but only got 2 pic's of the car, just put

fiesta 1.6 titanium and its the top one,ink blue.

I have been down a few times now but the M.P.G was the main thing to me being doing local driving.

If its the same as my 1.4 corsa it aint that bad as that aint great, 37.7 average.

Done a search. Can't see one that matches your 23k miles. The site is vcars.co.uk right?

My last car was the same but 09 reg, and the 1.6 is the engine to go for if you can't afford a newer car with the ecoboost. It's lovely to drive although yes there is a fair bit of road noise. I got just below 40 mpg on mainly urban driving and a bit of motorway.

What did you think about how it is to drive compared to the Corsa? It should be nicer to drive but would take more than a test drive to tell I suppose. Also is it from a dealer with a warranty? At that price I'd hope so.

I didnt go a long drive say a 1 mile,i had the mark 6 about 4 years ago the 1.4 flame.

The drive is spot on,these are the 3 main thing if i was 100% that i aint A1 on and some reviews say it.

1......the road noise is a lot more jumping out my corsa then into this fiesta then back.

2......m.p.g as im only a carer for my elderly dad so very local driving ( i get 35 local only in the corsa )

3......a lot of sites say about the plastics being ''looking cheap'' it dont look as solid as the corsa inside but not cheap.

I like the corsa for the solid feel but being 1.4 its not that quick and m.p.g is on par with 1.6 cars.(speed dont bother me )

One thing i would like to know, why are they always the top seller and by a big gap, dont the road noise put them off

or is there something im missing,i know its the new cars sold not used, also loads of corsa's and not a lot of fiesta's. ????

This car has been there for a month now.

I found that the amount of road noise can be reduced by getting quieter tyres. I have a 1.4 fiesta at the moment & I get around 40 MPG in urban driving (only do 8 miles per day).

I dont get 40 out of my corsa local,35 max what the car m.p.g. says.

Seems like the 1.4 and 1.6 are about the same on the m.p.g or very close and road tax is 1 band down from

my corsa to this 1.6 fiesta.

Got to say,i fell for this fiesta being top spec, color and cc.

I had the same as my first car, loved it but the MK7 was a big improvement.

I think the popularity of the Fiesta has something to do with all the magazines saying it's the best car in its class, especially in terms of how nice it is to drive.

Edit: about MPG, it's best to work it out manually from a full tank to another full tank, because the in car reading can be quite inaccurate. But the Fiesta will probably be around the same MPG as your Corsa.

Thanks phil as i did want it around the same as my corsa,i know its a 1.4 to a 1.6 but my corsa is

very heavy and the fiesta have nothing to pull with a 1.6 in it.

Going to have another look around it sunday and ask a few more things about it.

Yes cheers m8,looked at the m.p.g on the car and it was 37.9 on the computer.

Just that when you are blind to all these things and people like you lot say,its got this and that etc

you go and look for it as i would not know so its a GREAT help.

Is that the going price £8999.

That sounds like a decent price if it's from a dealer with a warranty. I paid about £8400 for my 3 year old Titanium but that was just over 2 years ago.

Go for it mate! That price is very reasonable, my old fiesta 1.4 Zetec (11 plate) with 22k on the clock is currently up for sale at my local Ford dealers for £8299.

Do a bit of haggling though, especially if there is any minor damage like wheel scuffs, things like that can cost a lot to repair. You might be able to get them down a few hundred quid.
