bikerman
hi alli have recently bought a 2009 1.8 tdci zetec, lovely car and great to drive ;o)itmay have a problem though, when cold the engine works as expected, butafter a mile or so of driving, there is a knocking sound which occurssomtimes when engine is below 2k revs, and under load... sounds a bitlike an old diesel engine... soon as you hit 2k it dissapears.sometimes it doesnt make the noise, other times it does. when in neutralthe engine revs as normal, no knocking sounds. there are no error codesor messages...does this sound like it could be faulty injector?cheers BM

bikerman
thanks for the info Danny does yours make the knocking sound? with mine it is hard to explain, but if you are old enough to remember the noisy cams on the old vauxhall cavalier, it sounds a bit like that... If i can I will record it on my phone and upload it, just so you can compare...
