Air Con ?

Im wondering the best way to look after my air con especially in winter. My brother says there's some sealant properties within the air con that when its running helps keep things tight. Says maybe to run it a few mins maybe every couple weeks even if I'm not being it.

Im not sure any truth in this or any tips folk know and can give.

Run it once a week.

The oil additive in the system keeps the hoses supple and prevents cracking and leaks from the joints.

Even in the winter aircon is useful, it helps to remove excess moisture from inside the car (from wet clothes, footwear etc) and also speeds up demisting.
