A had a 1.25 mk6.5 and I though it was quick too! It's brill to drive if you have the 1.25 duratec and it sounded like a 1.6 aswell

You know the story of Steve McQueen.... They asked him what's his favourite car is out all the things he drove he said he preferred his little 1litre odd car because on a sports car you can only use half or less power but in a small car you can use 100% power lol (am sure it was Steve McQueen that said thst)

Most fords have the same top speeds due to using the same gear boxes across engine ranges, its the box that ultimately determines top speed over engine size, that just helps it get there quicker.

Shame the police weren't about to insta-ban you for a year and confiscate the car. How my taxes are wasted.

and please don't say it was on track, you'd never hit 115 in a fiesta 1.25 on a track due to insufficient track length.

I thought I recognised the name mactell - weren't you the FOC member who was caught speeding at 66 in a 30 zone at night somemonths ago and was worried about losing you licence? I must of course be wrong so sorry in advance!

I'd say generally the later 1.25's felt a lot more sluggish than the original version it first came out in. The R-reg (I think) version my mum had was a really zippy little car and great to drive :)

Let me get this straight, so a car is quick because it can reach 115mph? Of course you missed the important part, that it took 4 minutes and 44 seconds to get there

There's a difference between letting the speed creep up to 80 and hammering up over a ton.

If you want to drive at full throttle everywhere, then nothing we say will change that. But if are going to drive like a !Removed! - please give us fair warning of where/when
