Is Trust Ford "service Club" Worth It?!

Hi there, have just bought a 2011 ford focus from ford dealer. They have recommended their service plan which covers services and MOT for the next three years. It makes sense coz it is easy and ensures you keep within warranty by using ford parts etc. However we want to know if it is worth it, because you might still have to fork out extra for things not included in the service plan. Has anyone gone for the ford one or is it easy enough to find your own service that is still within warranty? I live in Surrey. Thanks for any help!

Yeah I have this plan and it's worth it.

Basically all you pay for is additional cost of parts, so If you get an extra fluid change or full flush etc you pay for that. I have had the plan for about 4 years and only have I paid for mot parts really.

Because the price is fixed, it's better. As it works out my service is always 180 be it small or full scale, saving me about 40 a year on small or about 100 for a major. Also good to know that it's not going g to rip me a new one every year finding hundreds of pounds...

Imho it's worth it. You get extras like full valet, discount on parts etc so it all comes together nicely.

I can't say I agree with you there I was offered this plan and I looked into it and other options. After a lot of research and Internet searches I've decided not to bother as its over priced and not worth it to me. £180 for my second year service on this plan or £109 for it at an independent ford specialist using gen parts so no worries about warranty and service done to exact spec. Shop around for MOTS and this plan becomes another Fraud dealer over priced con.

defo not worth it if your car is less than 3 years old. I'm yet to find an independent....searched here and google, but no joy

UPDATE:Provisionally signed up (just need to get my credit card from home to finalise :)...seems like a good deal ..for me anyway...as it's my 1st service and dont know any decent locals...was also advised that i could cancel anytime and be refunded up to the last service (ie. if 11months later i decide to sell the car and cancel before the next service, i would be refunded the amount i paid...with a £30 admin fee...which still works out cheaper)....any thoughts on this?
