they are just plastic and won't stop the arches from rusting, even FRS will be rotten underneath unless they have been loved all their lives.

Getting the arches repaired :) but would it be wiser to get the rs plastic arches to prevent it again ?

No, they rust from the underside out, they are plastic over the same metal as the regular focus. in fact would make it worse and you'll need to cut it and drill it to hold them on. plus you'll need the skirts and probably rear bumper too, then the whole front end otherwise it'll look stupid.

the arches are probably worth more than 1.8 2001 focus anyway, better advice, just buy another car that isn't rusty.

The arches on the Mk1 FRS are actually metal not plastic. Seen a few rusty ones & even known people chop out & weld in the whole FRS rear quarter panels & sills to get the proper FRS look.

Its possible, your best bet would be the GRP Fibreglass kit, but your original arches would need repairing first anyway to stop them getting any worse & to give the Bodykit a good foundation to bond to.
