Dabbers
Hey i have a fiesta mk6 1.25 and i have this problem that when i change from first gear to second the revs take ageeeesss to die down after the first gear. This means i have to make a slower gear change to wait for the revs to come down.. my foot is all the way down on the clutch and my other foot is no where near the accelerator so the revs should die pretty much straight away? Checked to see if the accelerator pedal was getting stuck but it seems to be springing back fine. Any help would be great thanks :)

TomsFocus
Getting the fault codes read would be the first thing to do tbh. Not sure what the fault is, could be as simple as a clutch switch though.
troy45
Revs staying high when you lift off the throttle can also be a sign of an air leak somewhere in the induction system or worst case valve clearances tight so the intake valves don't fully close. Dabbers
Thanks! Cars going garage wednesday, they did say it sounds like an air leak in the system somewhere 😩
