mercman02
Has anyone ever bought altenzo tyres. i need some cheap tyres for my focus. £48 each for 205/55/16. My old tyres are wearing on the inside even though its been setup on a hunter hawkeye, ive also been back with it and he tells me the tracking is still ok. So i need to find out what up with it before i Shell out on more expensive tyres. Or mybe its the small square speed bump i straddle over?. SeanW
I've had better results when getting my car tracked the "old fashioned way" Those fandangled Hunter thingies just don't seem to be all that good. Ex-girlfriend had it done on her Fiesta and it was so badly done we took it to another garage. Didn't tell the bloke we'd just had it done - he looked at the front of the car and asked if we'd had it done recently on a Hawkeye Hunter (well, he named the garage). Chap still wasn't 100% happy with it, so he didn't charge - despite the car feeling much better on the road. I believe she had some major work on the suspension earlier this year and had it tracked with the "old kit" again.

Andy.B1971
The hunter system has its good and bad points as does the older super tracker system. The super tracker is excellent IF your rear suspension is of a fixed axle and no camber/toe adjustments can be made but pretty useless for most modern day cars with rear camber/toe adjustments. I like the super tracker. The hunter system HMMMM ,once set up correctly you can easily manipulate the sensors on the wheels to "adjust" the settings so the screen reads all green and within manufacturers tolerances without touching a nut. . If possible ask to see how its done as your "interested" and watch how its done from start to finish. I have set my focus up with the hunter I use and no tyre wear to be seen !!!!
