Hi after some advise on having my dual mass flywheel replaced. The car is a 2009 2.0tdci with just under 70,000 miles. Would you advise having the complete clutch ( cover, plate and bearings) replaced at the same time? The clutch isn't slipping at all, just a lot of knocking.

Many thanks

Had mine replaced a few months back and got the flywheel and the clutch kit done.

It's always recommended to do the clutch at the same time, especially with the cost of labour for the work

Also stay away from solid flywheel conversions as some will recommend, from what I know they don't suit the vibrations coming from the diesel engines as well as the dual mass ones do

definately get them both done. the cost would be negligible in labour and parts is only another £40 or so.

3 piece clutch kit will cost around £120-£150 depending on brand (LuK, Sachs, Valeo)
