ScotttyDoo
Hi Guys, I have a 10 plate Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 TDCi. I have an issue, which I can't figure out and need some help! I use my iPod on the aux lead to play music. A few days back I noticed the volume controls on the steering wheel stopped working, however, no big deal as the one on the stereo works and the music played on. But, last night, I tried to play the radio and realised all the buttons on the stereo are not working, except the volume button/twisty thing. So, I can turn my stereo on and off, adjust the volume and (because its stuck in aux mode) listen to my iPod, but cannot do anything else. Also, the bluetooth still connects and works, but I cannot press the talking button on the indicator stick. Anyone else had this issue before? Looked in the fuse box and there doesn't seem to be any issues. I do not know the code for the stereo so want to avoid taking the battery off! :/ Please help! Thanks! StumpyBloke
I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry about the radio code on these cars because they don't actually have one (my 2011 certainly doesn't have one so don't see why yours would). When I've been messing about with my unit I've occasionally had to pull a couple of fuses because it stopped working. If you look in the user handbook you will see the location for two fuses, one for the radio one for bluetooth I think. Might be worth pulling those? I think one is 7.5 amp and the other is 15 amp. ScotttyDoo
I'll check out the fuses this afternoon. Had a look a day or two ago in the fuse box, but the lid didn't show any fuses for the radio. Other issue with finding the fuses is that I never got a handbook with the car! All other docs, just no handbook... will have a look online for the fuse locations Will give it a go, thanks for the help :)
Mike77
Personally I'd just disconnect the battery for 10 mins first and see if that makes a difference. Its definitely helped me in the past with the fiesta !!!

ScotttyDoo
Thanks StumpyBloke, managed to find them in the end. Fuses were all fine... Personally I'd just disconnect the battery for 10 mins first and see if that makes a difference. Its definitely helped me in the past with the fiesta !!! Mike, battery did the job. Strange how it just seems to forget what its supposed to do! I guess the question "Have you tried turning it off n on again?" really works... Thanks gents.
