Guest
Hi Guys. Its been a while since I've posted, but ive got an issue... I scraped the bottom of my front bumper on one of those really annoying curbs whilst parking. I had to reverse as the bumper was hooked over the curb and has bent/pulled the clips through on 1 side of my bumper. Is there any guide on how to take the bumper off and replace the clips? I think the bottom plate has moved too. Pictures are attached Thanks!
STEADS
You should be able to redo that by just removing the wheel arch liner get a tap hammer a tap down where it has pulled the plastic screw fixing throug the hole either that or just a good a fix tie wrap it bumper to wing done that before looks just as good
Guest
Ill have a look tomorrow to see if I can do that. If I can get it tight as possible then ill do it! Are these the only clips? I see the section next to the top grill is a little low too
STEADS
Take your arch liner out and your headlight and you will be able to see exactly what needs to be done so long as the clips still have the lugs on the side and have not been ragged off you should be able to refit them I'm sure they have a 10mm stew bolt through them .just remember if you have to disturb the front grill at all to make sure the lock works correctly on the bonnet release before you shut it even the slightest disturbance can pull the anti tamper out of position . Guest
Looks like the plastic of the bumper is bent where the white clip is and part of the clip is snapped.
STEADS
Have you got any tiger seal handy you could put the retainer back in place and put a bit of tiger seal around the outer edge that would hold it nicely in place .
