Phil 87
As the title says, the auto 3 flash thing on the indicators seems to not be working 100% lately. I'm noticing it more now than I used to, and I know sometimes if you just touch the indicator stalk it only flashes once, but sometimes it just flashes once when I'm sure I've pushed it far enough. Does anyone know what is the correct way to activate the 3-flash? That might sound like a stupid question but I though you have to move it up or down just before it "clicks on" and hold it there for a moment, but just playing around with it while parked it seems like it also does the 3-flash if you give it a quick flick. Like I said it's not 100%, maybe it's just the usual Ford build quality but I'd like to know if anyone else is having problems with this too. baileydog62
You can change between 1 and 3 flashes in the menu options on the stereo, I'd check the setting first.
Phil 87
The setting is definitely enabled because it usually does flash 3 times, I find it's just a bit unreliable.
Hg7196
Mine seems to be hit and miss too. However it's been the same on every fiesta (mk7) that I've had - 3 of them! I think it's just one of those things. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

Hg7196
Maybe I've just been unlucky - or I don't press the darn thing down quite far enough every time. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
Goodkat
I find with my focus that pushing it up to the point that it is just about to put the indicators on properly then let go, the three flash sequence starts. Anything less and it doesn't. Sent from my Gen 1 WAP phone

Anything less and it doesn't. Yes I think it's the same with the Fiesta, the problem is if you press it slightly too hard it clicks on, not hard enough and it only does one flash. I don't know why it would even do one flash anyway, if the option for 3 flashes is enabled it should do 3 flashes or nothing.
matt1981
Sometimes depends on the steering wheel, if its starting 3 flashes then you turn the wheel eg going round an island or turning it seems to cancel it. If going straight leg motorway and switching lanes mine works fine every time

If going straight leg motorway and switching lanes mine works fine every time I think you may be right, I don't remember it ever doing only one flash on the motorway. I'll keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I'll have a word with the dealer.
KenP
You can change between 1 and 3 flashes in the menu options on the stereo, I'd check the setting first. That setting is for the central locking flash.
Phil 87
That setting is for the central locking flash. I'll have to try it out, but it says "indicators". And doesn't the central locking flash the indicators twice?
CookieM
I flick the indicator on and then straight off with no pause. Works every time :)

gillyallan
Ahh right explains a lot. I always thought the setting was for the locking and couldn't figure why mine flashed twice. Didn't think it would be actually indicators as like said can't think why you'd want it once.
