Postie123
I am looking into fitting some standard Ford rear door tweeters. I am wondering if anyone knows if there would be the wires all ready fitted but tucked away somewhere? If there isn't could I just tap into the rear bottom Speakers that are there? And also are the rear tweeters the same as the front tweeters? I have read somewhere that on the rear of the rear door card there is a mark of where to cut a hole for the speaker. Then I would just need the tweeter cover. Does anyone have any ideas or pointers on this little mod I would like to do.
JW1982
The rear tweeters are completely different from the front tweeters. The MK2/MK2.5 rear tweeters are 1 piece. The tweeter cover is not a seperate part (like the tweeters on some other Ford models). In some cases the wiring of the rear tweeters is already factory fitted. In this cast the tweeter wiring is located near the tweeter location behind the door panel. If the wiring is not factory fitted you can connect the tweeter wiring to the rear speaker connector. The original tweeter wiring is also connected to the rear speaker connector.
