Damon Cook
Hi guys need to change my pollen filter in my mk1 focus i think its behind the glove box but how easy is it to do and is there higher quality filters compared to the basic ones? Any and all help is much appreciated
stef123
On the mk1 it's under the scuttle panel on the passenger side. Personally I would stick with a genuine one, they are also the activated charcoal type unlike some of the (not always cheaper) aftermarket ones available. Mind get the foam seal for the scuttle - not sure if it still comes with a genuine filter or not.

Stoney871
Below the passenger side wiper arm is a plastic panel held in with scrivets. The filter is in a housing under it.
Damon Cook
Ok then so 1-10 scale how difficult is it to do
Stoney871
Easy as long as you ensure the seal is seated correctly. If you don't you'll get a wet filter and footwells.
Damon Cook
Nice il take a look at it then thanx guys
stef123
It's not actually the seal on the windscreen that's responsible for water leaking into the footwells. Ford brought out a revised panel but the problem was with the plastic lip on the underside of the scuttle. It's held on with a few spots where the plastic is melted together
