Evening folks, can anyone recommend a decent induction kit that doesn't cost ridiculous amounts of money? Had a look at the Auto Specialist ones and really grudge £200 for it.

Thanks

Steve

Fit a panel filter (K&N, pipercross or green cotton) and smooth out the inside of your existing airbox

do you want to make more noise, increase power or both?

is your car an NA st150PS or the later turbo st180?

The AS stage 2 kit is probably the cheapest of the market at £150. There isn't much power to be gained from them on a standard car but, they are good for noise. A panel filter is a good choice though.

Have a look on sico-developments as he has most of the induction kits on his site so it will be easy to compare.

AS stage 1s pop up on eBay occasionally, mainly due to owners getting fed up with the noise or because they can bring the engine management light on.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. It's really more for the noise than power, the turbo noise just isn't loud enough lol. Plus I'm planning on getting my bluefin reprogrammed at some point in the new year for it. It's the st 180. Plenty of power as standard but needs to be a lot louder lol.

Unless someone puts a kit up for sale then your going to have to spend £150-250 for the noise.

I've done that, you will notice a slight change at higher revs, not much though.

Has anyone had any experience with the AS stage 2 kit? As I was considering purchasing...

Don't suppose you could point me in the direction of the pipe?

There's a little black box in front of the engine, on your right hand lower side of your in the middle. Coming out of it is some black plastic trunken with ridges on it. Twist and pull that of carefully and the foam insert is sat inside. You'll need some long nose pliers to pull it out without ripping it.

I've got a graham Goode kit along with the hose, the chatter you get from it is very pleasing to the ears.

Demons is a pain in the !Removed! to get to work. You have to create a garage first, so on the left pick your car, add to garage so it appears on the right, then select car to view products. Crap system.
